I've listened to every song I can find with that lyric in it, even if it's not from the genre or time period I think it's from. It turns out the lyric, "boom shaka laka" is very popular. I've checked lyrics sites, YouTube, singing to Shazam and SoundHound, and streaming services. This was in the USA, so the rest of the lyrics would have likely been in English, but I do not remember anything else. It might be from the very late 80s or early 90s, but I remember it being popular in the mid 90s.
